Itinerary
Your driver meets you at a pre-arranged point in Naples or Salerno, including city hotels, the port, or the train station. The departure time is agreed in advance to suit your schedule.
The drive to the volcano parking area takes approximately 45 minutes from Naples. You then have 90 minutes on the crater rim, with a wide trail circling the caldera and broad views over the surrounding gulf. Admission tickets must be purchased online in advance and are not included.
About one hour of scenic driving along the coast delivers you to Sorrento. Free time here allows independent exploration of the old town, the cliff-side gardens, and the local shops known for limoncello and inlaid woodwork.
A lunch break can be incorporated into the day at a location agreed with your driver. This is arranged informally and is not pre-booked as part of the tour package.
Roughly one hour of driving brings you to the entrance of the Pompeii ruins. Two hours of free time allow a self-guided visit through the excavated city, including the Forum, the amphitheater, and the plaster casts of eruption victims. Tickets must be purchased online in advance and are not included in the tour price.
After the Pompeii visit, your driver takes you back to the original pickup point in Naples or Salerno, completing the full circuit in approximately 8 hours and 30 minutes.
