Itinerary
A private vehicle collects you from your Istanbul hotel lobby and transfers you to Sabiha Gokcen Airport for the morning domestic flight to Izmir. Flight details and exact pickup time are confirmed by email after booking.
Your tour guide meets you at Izmir Airport holding a name sign. A private vehicle then takes approximately 45 minutes to reach the Ephesus archaeological area.
The visit begins at the Temple of Artemis site before entering Ephesus itself. You walk the full length of the ancient city, passing the State Agora, Odeon, Memmius Monument, Temple of Domitian, Curetes Street, Trajan Fountain, Baths of Scholastica, Temple of Hadrian, Latrina, Celsus Library, the Gates of Mazeus and Mithridates, Commercial Agora, and the Grand Theatre.
After Ephesus, lunch is served in the garden of a local handicrafts center. During the break you can observe traditional carpet weaving techniques and view finished carpet displays.
Located on Aladag Mountain approximately five miles from Ephesus, this house is recognized by the Catholic Church as a place of pilgrimage since 1892. Pope Paul VI visited and prayed here in 1967.
A private transfer returns you to Izmir Airport for the approximately 80-minute flight back to Istanbul. A representative meets you on arrival and transfers you directly to your hotel.
