Your guide meets you at Kusadasi Port or a listed hotel lobby with a name sign. Cruise guests are typically collected 30 to 45 minutes after ship arrival, and the drive to the Ephesus area takes approximately 20 minutes.

According to tradition established at the Third Ecumenical Council in 431 AD, Mary came to Ephesus with St. John around 37 AD and lived here until her death. The Archbishop of Izmir declared the site a place of pilgrimage in 1892.
