Izmir Airport Arrival, Smyrna and Pergamon
You are met at Izmir Airport and transferred to Smyrna, where you learn about its early Christian community and the martyrdom of Bishop Polycarp. The day continues to Pergamon for a visit to the Acropolis, Great Theatre, Altar of Zeus, Red Basilica, and the ancient medical sanctuary of Asclepion. Overnight stay in Izmir.

After breakfast, the route takes you to Thyatira, a former trading hub and one of the seven churches, followed by Sardis with its Temple of Artemis, Marble Royal Road, Gymnasium, and Synagogue.
