4 Days: 7 Churches of Revelation Tour
Walk in the footsteps of the apostles across the ancient cities of western Turkey
The 7 Churches of Revelation Tour takes you on a four-day journey through the sacred biblical landscapes of western Anatolia, visiting every church addressed in the Book of Revelation. Guided by expert commentary and supported by included admission tickets at most sites, this tour is designed for travelers seeking both spiritual depth and historical insight.
Operating at an easy difficulty level, the itinerary is structured to allow thorough exploration without physical strain. Each day covers a distinct cluster of ancient cities, giving you time to absorb the archaeology, theology, and human stories embedded in these UNESCO-recognized and biblically significant sites.
Transportation and hotel accommodations across Izmir, Pamukkale, and Kusadasi are woven into the program, along with optional visits to local craft workshops including a carpet weaving village, leather factory, onyx demonstration, and jewellery showroom.
From the dramatic acropolis of Pergamon to the thermal terraces of Pamukkale and the marble avenues of Ephesus, the route connects faith and antiquity in a way that few itineraries in Turkey can match.
Tour Highlights

Day-by-Day Itinerary
You are met at Izmir Airport and transferred to Smyrna, where you learn about its early Christian community and the martyrdom of Bishop Polycarp. The day continues to Pergamon for a visit to the Acropolis, Great Theatre, Altar of Zeus, Red Basilica, and the ancient medical sanctuary of Asclepion. Overnight stay in Izmir.
After breakfast, the route takes you to Thyatira, a former trading hub and one of the seven churches, followed by Sardis with its Temple of Artemis, Marble Royal Road, Gymnasium, and Synagogue. Philadelphia offers a glimpse of its ancient wall and Byzantine Basilica before the group continues to Pamukkale for an overnight stay.
The morning is dedicated to Pamukkale's Cotton Castle terraces and the ruins of Hierapolis, a holy city associated with the Apostle Philip and evangelized by Paul and Epaphras, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After lunch, you visit Laodicea to see its stadium, columned streets, and extensive ruins before transferring to Kusadasi for the night.
