Parasailing from Santa Cruz de Tenerife: Fly 50 Metres Above the Atlantic Ocean
Soar above the Canary Island coastline and see the ocean from a perspective few travellers ever experience.
Parasailing in Tenerife offers one of the most accessible and visually striking ways to experience the island's Atlantic coastline, lifting participants gently to 50 metres above the water from the comfort of a modern speedboat platform.
Unlike paragliding, which requires specific terrain and conditions, parascending at sea is designed for mixed age groups and requires no prior experience. The boat does the work, and participants are lifted and lowered in a controlled, smooth arc over the open water.
The session begins with a short safety briefing at Puerto Colon, where life jackets are fitted before boarding. Once airborne, the view stretches across the coastline and the deep blue of the Atlantic, creating a memorable perspective that ground-level activities simply cannot replicate.
The experience concludes with a gentle water landing, adding a refreshing final touch to the flight. The entire outing, from briefing to touchdown, runs approximately 45 minutes, making it a practical addition to a full day of exploration in Tenerife.

A modern take-off and landing platform on the speedboat ensures a smooth, comfortable departure and return without getting wet before you choose to.
How the Experience Unfolds
Make your way to the meeting point at Puerto Colon marina, where the crew will greet you and carry out a brief orientation. This is where you will receive your life jacket and go over the basic safety information.
Before boarding, the team conducts a clear and concise briefing covering what to expect during the flight, how the harness and platform work, and what signals the crew will use. No prior training is required.
Participants board a modern speedboat equipped with a dedicated take-off and landing platform. The vessel heads out onto open water before the ascent begins.
As the boat accelerates, the parachute lifts participants smoothly into the air, reaching a height of up to 50 metres above the ocean surface. The flight portion lasts approximately 10 minutes and offers unobstructed coastal views.
Towards the end of the flight, participants are briefly lowered to skim the water surface before being brought back up for the final descent. The experience concludes with a controlled landing back on the boat platform.
