Day Sail to White Island and Ras Mohamed in Sharm El Sheikh
Snorkel the reefs of Ras Mohammed National Park and drift past White Island on a full-day yacht excursion from Sharm El Sheikh.
A day sail to Ras Mohammed National Park places you at the meeting point of the Gulf of Suez and the Gulf of Aqaba, where coral walls and open-water currents sustain one of the most biodiverse marine environments in the Red Sea. This seven-hour journey by comfortable yacht brings two distinct snorkeling stops and a buffet lunch served on deck.
White Island emerges from the water as a sandbar of bleached coral and shallow lagoons, attracting sea turtles and schools of reef fish in the calm shallows. The contrast between the pale sand and the deep blue surrounding water makes it one of the most photographed natural landmarks in the Sinai region.
Ras Mohammed National Park, protected since 1983, extends across both land and sea and is regarded by marine biologists as a reference site for Red Sea biodiversity. Snorkeling its outer reefs brings visitors face to face with hawksbill turtles, barracuda, and the dense coral formations that have made the park an internationally recognized conservation area. Round-trip hotel transfers from Sharm El Sheikh are included, keeping logistics straightforward for travelers.

How the Day Unfolds
Shared vehicles collect guests from hotels across Sharm El Sheikh and deliver them to the departure marina, where the yacht is prepared and safety equipment is distributed.
The yacht departs the marina and heads south along the Sinai coastline. The crew provides a briefing on snorkeling technique and marine park regulations during the transit.
Guests enter the clear, shallow waters surrounding the sandbar to explore the resident reef fish and, on occasion, sea turtles resting in the lagoon. Snorkeling gear is provided on board.
The yacht anchors in a sheltered position while a buffet lunch is served on deck. Soft drinks and water accompany the meal, and guests have time to relax before the second snorkel session.
The boat relocates to the outer reefs of Ras Mohammed, where deeper water and stronger currents support larger marine species. Guides remain in the water to assist and point out points of interest.
The yacht sails back to Sharm El Sheikh Marina as the afternoon light changes across the water. Transfer vehicles return guests to their hotels, completing the full-day excursion.
