Dinghy Tour Through the Beaches of La Maddalena Archipelago
A full day of crystal waters, hidden coves, and authentic Sardinian flavors aboard a high-performance RIB
This La Maddalena Archipelago dinghy tour takes you on a curated maritime journey through one of the Mediterranean's most protected and celebrated island groups, departing from either Palau or La Maddalena on the northeastern coast of Sardinia. An experienced local skipper adapts the route daily based on weather and sea conditions to ensure every stop delivers the best possible experience. With a maximum of 12 passengers, the pace remains intimate and unhurried throughout the day.
The vessel is a BWA 33 GTO Sport RIB, a 10-meter rigid inflatable boat powered by twin 300 HP engines and equipped with an XXL sundeck, teak deck surface, T-Top canopy, and an onboard console with a full bathroom including toilet, shower, and sink. A freshwater external shower and boarding ladder make sea entries and exits simple and comfortable. The refrigerator on board ensures cold drinks are always within reach.
The itinerary weaves through the waters surrounding Spargi Island, pausing at Cala Corsara, Cala Soraia, and Cala Connery for open-water swimming. The route then passes along the shoreline of Spiaggia Rosa on Budelli Island for a photo stop, before continuing to the natural pools of Porto Madonna and the scenic passages of Passo degli Asinelli and Spiaggia del Cavaliere. The final stop at Santa Maria Island allows time to relax or take a last swim before returning to port.
A Sardinian aperitif served on board features local cured meats, regional cheeses, and Carasau bread, a traditional thin and crispy flatbread from the island. The combination of guided navigation, snorkeling opportunities, and authentic local hospitality makes this a well-rounded day on the water rather than a simple boat ride. Participants of all swimming abilities are welcome, as the tour is rated easy and no prior sailing experience is required.

Itinerary
The tour departs from the port of your choice, either Palau on the Sardinian mainland or the town port of La Maddalena island. The skipper briefs the group on the day's planned route before heading into the archipelago.
The boat anchors off the beaches of Spargi Island for swimming stops in clear, calm water. These coves are known for their shallow turquoise bays and sandy seabeds, well-suited for snorkeling.
The tour passes close to the shoreline of the famous pink-sand beach on Budelli Island. Landing on the beach is not permitted as it is a protected nature reserve, but the skipper positions the boat for photographs from the water.
The route continues to the natural swimming area at Porto Madonna, with additional stops at Passo degli Asinelli and Spiaggia del Cavaliere. These locations feature shallow, rock-sheltered waters ideal for relaxed swimming.
The last stop of the day is Santa Maria Island, offering a quieter stretch of beach for a final swim or a moment of rest in the shade before the return journey to port.
