Sailing Itinerary
Built for the 1992 Olympic Games and designed by Oriol Bohigas and collaborators, Puerto Olímpico is one of Barcelona's most recognizable marinas with 756 berths. The Mapfre Tower, Hotel Arts, and Frank Gehry's golden fish sculpture mark the skyline as you board the Anna Katharina.
The yacht passes alongside Barceloneta, the city's historic fishing district and its most iconic urban beach. This stretch of coastline offers a vivid sense of the city's relationship with the sea, with the beach promenade and the old Barceloneta quarter visible from the water.
Sailing past Port Vell, the original harbour of Barcelona, guests can observe the Rambla de Mar pedestrian walkway, the Maremàgnum complex, and the entrance to Europe's largest aquarium. The area was transformed ahead of the 1992 Olympics and now welcomes over 16 million visitors annually.
Once clear of the harbour, the skipper guides the yacht to a suitable spot for a refreshing swim in the Mediterranean. This is also the section of the voyage where dolphin sightings are most likely, with occasional whale encounters reported by the crew.
From the water, the silhouette of the Sagrada Familia rises above the city's rooftops, while Tibidabo, the highest peak of the Serra de Collserola, anchors the horizon. This perspective offers one of the most distinctive views of Barcelona available without leaving the Mediterranean.
