Mini Group 8-Day Turkey Tour by Flights
Istanbul, Cappadocia, Pamukkale and Ephesus in one fully guided journey
This 8-day guided Turkey tour takes a maximum of 10 travelers through the country's most celebrated destinations, from the layered history of Istanbul to the surreal rock formations of Cappadocia, the thermal terraces of Pamukkale, and the ancient marble streets of Ephesus. Domestic flights, hand-picked accommodation, and most meals are included so that every logistical detail is handled before you arrive. The small group format guarantees a personal experience that larger coach tours cannot replicate.
Turkey sits at the crossroads of Europe and Asia, and this itinerary reflects that duality. Travelers walk through a UNESCO-listed open-air museum carved into volcanic tuff, stand inside a mosque whose blue Iznik tiles have inspired artists for centuries, and swim in thermal pools fed by calcium-rich springs that have been celebrated since Roman times.
The pace is designed for those who want genuine depth rather than a rushed checklist. Each destination receives a full day of guided exploration, giving travelers time to absorb the context behind what they are seeing rather than simply moving from one photo stop to the next.
Ground transfers between sites are handled by private minibus, and the tour is reversible depending on flight and hotel availability, meaning the sequence Istanbul, Cappadocia, Pamukkale, Ephesus, Izmir can be operated in the opposite direction when conditions require it.
Tour Highlights
Explore the Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, and the Grand Bazaar on a full day in historic Istanbul.
Discover Cappadocia's fairy chimneys, underground cities, and the Goreme Open Air Museum with its centuries-old rock churches.
Walk the snow-white travertine terraces of Pamukkale and explore the adjacent ancient city of Hierapolis.
Follow the marble streets of Ephesus past the Celsus Library, Temple of Hadrian, and a theater that once held 24,000 spectators.
Visit the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, and the House of Virgin Mary near Selcuk.
All domestic flights between regions are included, removing the complexity of independent travel across a large country.
A professional, English-speaking guide accompanies the group throughout, providing historical context at every site.
Itinerary Overview
A private representative meets arriving travelers at Istanbul Airport (IST) or Sabiha Gokcen Airport (SAW) and transfers the group to the hotel. The evening is free to rest and settle in ahead of a full day of sightseeing.
The day covers the Ancient Hippodrome, Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, and the Grand Bazaar. Live guiding is not permitted inside Hagia Sophia from January 2024 onward; guests follow a smartphone-based audio system and should bring headphones or purchase them at the entrance.
A morning transfer to the airport connects the group to Kayseri or Nevsehir, followed by visits to the Three Sisters Fairy Chimneys, Ozkonak Underground City, Pigeon Valley, Pasabag Fairy Chimneys, Avanos, the Goreme Open Air Museum, and Uchisar Rock Castle. Two nights are spent in the region, allowing a relaxed pace across the volcanic landscape.
The group departs Cappadocia by road, stopping in Konya to visit the Mausoleum of Mevlana before continuing to Pamukkale. Travelers check in to a thermal hotel and have access to the thermal pools until late evening.
After breakfast the group tours the travertine terraces, the ancient theatre, and the Apollo Temple at Hierapolis before transferring approximately three hours to Kusadasi for an overnight stay on the Aegean coast.
The day begins at the Temple of Artemis, continues through the archaeological site of Ephesus, and concludes with the House of Virgin Mary on the Aldag Mountains. The group then transfers to Izmir Airport for the included domestic flight back to Istanbul, where a representative arranges the hotel transfer for the final night.
