10 Days Complete Iceland: Ring-Road, Snæfellsnes, Northern Lights & Airport Transfer
A full circle through glaciers, geysers, black sand beaches, and the northern sky.
This 10-day Iceland ring-road group tour traces the island's most celebrated landscapes, from the Golden Circle and South Coast glaciers to the East Fjords, Lake Mývatn, Akureyri, and the Snæfellsnes Peninsula. Roundtrip airport transfers are included from the first moment to the last. The tour is rated Easy, making it accessible to a broad range of travelers without sacrificing depth or variety.
Departing Reykjavik, the route follows Iceland's Ring Road in a logical arc, pausing at UNESCO-listed Thingvellir, the erupting Strokkur geyser, and the twin-cascade Gullfoss waterfall before pushing south toward Europe's largest glacier, Vatnajökull. Nights in the countryside offer genuine darkness and clear-sky opportunities to observe the Aurora Borealis throughout the winter months.
The northern leg brings whale watching from the village of Hauganes and an evening in Akureyri, Iceland's second city, before the route turns west toward the dramatic Snæfellsnes Peninsula. Volcanic sea stacks, hexagonal basalt columns, a rare white sand seal colony beach, and the iconic Kirkjufell mountain await on the final full day before returning to Reykjavik.
Optional add-ons at key stops, including glacier hiking on Sólheimajökull, a crystal blue ice cave visit, horseback riding in the East Fjords, geothermal bathing at Vök Baths, and a guided tour of Víðgelmir lava cave, allow travelers to personalise the experience without disrupting the group schedule.

Itinerary Overview
A roundtrip airport transfer delivers you to your Reykjavik hotel. The remainder of the day is free for rest or independent city exploration, with optional visits to the Blue Lagoon or a hop-on-hop-off city tour available to add on.
The classic Golden Circle route covers the tectonic rift at Thingvellir National Park, the erupting Strokkur hot spring at Haukadalur, and the powerful double cascade of Gullfoss waterfall. This full day sets the geological tone for the rest of the journey.
The South Coast day begins at the walk-behind Seljalandsfoss waterfall and continues to Skógafoss before reaching Reynisfjara black sand beach and the village of Vík. An optional glacier hike on Sólheimajökull glacier is available as an add-on activity.
The route heads east to Skaftafell for views of Vatnajökull before reaching Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon and Diamond Beach. Between October and March, a super-jeep transfer accesses the Crystal Blue Ice Cave inside Vatnajökull National Park.
A day among fjords, mountain ridges, and historic fishing communities. Optional add-ons include horseback riding on Icelandic horses through the wilderness and entrance to the floating geothermal pools at Vök Baths on Lake Urriðavatn.
The northern loop visits the geothermal Námaskarð pass, the lava pillar field of Dimmuborgir, and the horseshoe-shaped Goðafoss waterfall before arriving in Akureyri for an evening to explore Iceland's northern capital. Aurora hunting is possible on clear nights.
