Water Bike Tour in Stintino – La Pelosa Sardinia

The tour begins at the bay of Porto Torres, where guides provide a brief introduction to the water bikes and the route ahead. The equipment is simple to operate and no prior experience is required.

Riders pedal along the coast past the scenic Balai beach and continue toward a natural rock bridge carved by centuries of wave action. The guide provides commentary on the local landscape and its history.

The route passes the historic Church of San Gavino a Mare, visible from the water, before entering the series of small inlets that characterise the Scoglioricco shoreline. These sheltered coves are accessible only by sea.

Pedalling further along the coast, the group reaches the Twin Caves and the Cave of the Bridge — two striking sea caves formed by erosion. The guide explains the geological processes that shaped these formations.

The highlight of the tour is the Grotte dell'Inferno, a dramatic sea cave system with an evocative name that contrasts with the serene, clear waters at its entrance. Time is allowed to explore and take in the atmosphere.

Before heading back, riders have the opportunity to anchor their bikes and swim in the open sea. A light snack can be enjoyed on board before the group returns to the starting point.
