The Matrix X VR Arena in Ticino offers a 90-minute session combining free-roam virtual reality, competitive Laser Tag VR, and a professional racing simulator under one roof. The experience is wire-free, giving participants full freedom to move across 70 square meters of open play space. Groups of all sizes can join from age 8 or 10 onwards.
Unlike standard VR booths, Matrix X removes the cables and tethered headsets that restrict movement. Players can sprint, dodge, and strategize across a dedicated arena without worrying about tangled equipment or fixed stations. This cable-free format is what sets the venue apart from conventional VR entertainment in the region.
The session is structured into three distinct blocks, each offering a different type of gameplay. Whether the group prefers cooperative storytelling against digital enemies, head-to-head team competition, or precision lap racing, the 90-minute format covers all three without feeling rushed.

How the Session Unfolds
Participants arrive at Matrix X and receive an orientation on the equipment and arena rules. Staff explain the wireless headset system and the layout of the 70 square meter play space before the session begins.
The first block takes place in the free-roam arena. Groups choose a cooperative scenario against AI enemies such as aliens or zombies, or opt for competitive Laser Tag VR in team-versus-team or everyone-against-everyone format.
Participants move to individual VR stations with access to more than 50 games. Games can be changed at any point during the block, and players can go solo or team up with others in the group.
The final block is held at the Neroforte racing stations. Participants select their preferred cars and circuits, with a suggested split of 10 minutes for testing and qualifying laps, followed by 10 minutes of competitive racing.
