Valley of the Temples and Villa Romana del Casale - Multilingual Group Tour from Palermo
Two UNESCO World Heritage Sites in a single unforgettable day across the heart of Sicily.
This full-day journey takes you to two of Sicily's most extraordinary archaeological treasures, combining the Valley of the Temples Agrigento tour with the mosaic wonders of Villa Romana del Casale into one carefully structured itinerary departing from Palermo.
The day unfolds across a broad cross-section of Sicilian history, from the Greek colonial ambitions of the 6th century BC at Agrigento to the opulent late-Roman lifestyle preserved beneath the floors of a 4th-century AD villa near Piazza Armerina. Both sites carry UNESCO World Heritage status and represent distinct chapters in the long story of Mediterranean civilization.
The tour is guided at the Valley of the Temples by a licensed local guide, while Villa Romana del Casale is explored independently with the help of detailed information boards in every room. This format allows visitors to absorb each site at their own pace within a well-organized group journey.
Comfortable road transfers connect all destinations throughout the day, with pickup and drop-off at the same meeting point in Palermo or the Mondello area, making logistics straightforward for travelers staying in either location.

Itinerary
The tour begins at one of the designated meeting points in Palermo or the Mondello area. The driver collects all participants and sets off toward Piazza Armerina, approximately two and a half hours away through Sicily's interior.
On arrival, participants explore Villa Romana del Casale independently, guided by information boards placed throughout the site. The villa, rediscovered through 20th-century excavations, contains one of the largest and best-preserved collections of Roman mosaic floors in the world. Allow approximately one to one and a half hours for the visit, depending on visitor numbers inside.
After the villa visit, the group boards the vehicle for an approximately two-hour drive south toward Agrigento and the Valley of the Temples.
A licensed guide leads the walking tour of the archaeological park, covering the Temple of Hera, the Temple of Concordia, the Temple of Hercules, and the Temple of Zeus. The site has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997 and represents the civic and religious heart of the ancient city of Akragas, founded in 582 BC.
Following the guided visit, the group travels back to Palermo by road. Drop-off is at the same meeting point used for departure at the start of the day.
