Sail and Dine: Private Sunset Sailboat Tour in Lisbon
A private evening on the Tagus River, where Lisbon's skyline meets traditional Portuguese cuisine aboard a luxury sailboat.
This private sunset sailboat tour in Lisbon brings together two of Portugal's greatest offerings: the spectacular waterfront scenery of the capital and the celebrated flavors of its traditional gastronomy. The experience is designed for small, private groups of up to eight guests who prefer an intimate and unhurried evening on the water.
Departing from the marina at Alcantara, the sailboat moves along the Tagus River as daylight fades and Lisbon's monuments take on a different character under the golden and amber hues of dusk. Guests are served a curated dinner from a traditional Portuguese menu, with options communicated in advance after booking.
The route covers a significant stretch of Lisbon's waterfront, passing landmarks on both the Lisbon and Almada sides of the river. From the iron span of the 25th April Bridge to the medieval outline of the Belem Tower, each view offers a distinct perspective of the city that cannot be replicated from land.

Tour Itinerary
Guests arrive at the Rent a Boat Office in Alcantara at least 20 minutes before departure. The office is located at number 8 in the Galerias Edificio Goncalves Zarco building, identified by a blue and orange flag near a cafe with a terrace.
The sailboat departs from the marina and heads along the riverfront, offering views of the Time Out Market area, Commerce Square, and the historic neighborhoods of Santa Apolonia and Alfama. The National Pantheon and the Electricity Museum are also visible from the water during this stretch.
The route continues toward the Almada side of the river, passing the Pontal de Cacilhas, the famous Ponto Final restaurant, and the Christ the King statue. The 25th April Bridge frames this section of the journey.
As the sun descends, the sailboat passes the Champalimaud Foundation, the Belem Tower, and the Monument to the Discoveries. This is typically the most visually striking portion of the tour, with the monuments lit by the last natural light of the day.
Traditional Portuguese dishes from the pre-selected menu are served on board as the evening progresses. Guests are encouraged to notify the operator of any allergies or dietary restrictions at the time of booking.
The sailboat returns to the departure point at Alcantara, completing the three-hour experience. Pick-up and drop-off services are not included but can be arranged separately upon request.
