4-Day Aegean Coast Tour: Kusadasi to Istanbul
From ancient ruins to sacred battlefields, travel the western coast of Turkey in four unforgettable days.
This Kusadasi to Istanbul small-group tour takes you through some of the most storied landscapes on the Aegean coast, covering Ephesus, Pamukkale, Pergamum, Troy, and Gallipoli before arriving in Istanbul.
Travelling by minibus with a knowledgeable guide, you move efficiently between UNESCO-listed sites and natural wonders without the crowds and compromises of larger coach tours. Each stop is chosen to reflect a distinct layer of Anatolian and Mediterranean history, from Hellenistic temples to World War I memorials.
The itinerary balances cultural depth with manageable distances, making it suitable for travellers with a genuine interest in archaeology, history, and landscape. Private tour options are available for families or groups who prefer an exclusive experience.

Itinerary
Your guide meets you at your hotel before driving to the Ephesus region. You begin at the House of Virgin Mary, then spend the morning walking the excavated streets of ancient Ephesus past the Celsus Library, the Temple of Hadrian, the Grand Theatre, and the Curetes Street monuments.
The day concludes with a visit to the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, before returning to Kusadasi for the night.
After breakfast, you depart for Pamukkale, approximately two and a half hours away. On arrival, you explore the UNESCO-listed travertine terraces and the adjacent ancient city of Hierapolis, including its necropolis and thermal pools.
You return to Kusadasi in the afternoon, with an option to be dropped at Denizli airport instead.
Departing after breakfast, you travel north to Pergamum (Bergama), one of the Seven Churches of Asia. Here you visit the Acropolis, the Altar of Zeus — referenced in the Book of Revelation as the Throne of Satan — the Temple of Trajan, and the remains of the ancient library once rivalling Alexandria.
After a lunch break, the group drives to the ancient city of Troy, famous for the Trojan Horse legend, before continuing to Canakkale for an overnight stay.
The final day begins with a visit to the World War I battlefields of the Gallipoli peninsula. Key sites include ANZAC Cove, Lone Pine Australian Memorial, Chunuk Bair New Zealand Memorial, Johnston's Jolly trenches and tunnels, Brighton Beach, and the Gallipoli Museum.
In the afternoon, the group drives approximately four and a half hours to Istanbul, where tour services conclude.
