4-Day Ancient Tour: Ephesus, Pamukkale, Pergamum & More
Walk the marble streets of Asia Minor on a small-group journey through civilizations that shaped the ancient world.
This 4-day small-group tour of Ephesus, Pamukkale, and Pergamum takes a maximum of 10 guests through some of the most significant archaeological and natural sites in western Turkey, with a knowledgeable guide, comfortable minibus transport, and traditional Turkish lunches included on tour days.
The itinerary spans four distinct regions of ancient Anatolia, moving from the UNESCO-listed ruins of Ephesus and the travertine terraces of Pamukkale to the lesser-visited Ionic cities of Priene, Miletus, and Didyma. The tour concludes at the dramatic acropolis and medical sanctuary of Pergamum, one of the Seven Churches of Asia referenced in the Book of Revelation.
Keeping the group small at ten people allows for a more personal experience at each site, with room to ask questions and explore at a measured pace. Private tour options are also available for families or groups who prefer exclusive access to the guide and vehicle.

Stand at the House of the Virgin Mary near Ephesus, a pilgrimage site believed to be where Mary spent her final years under the care of St. John the Evangelist.
Enjoy included traditional Turkish lunches on each tour day, giving a genuine taste of local cuisine between site visits.
Day-by-Day Itinerary
Your guide meets you at your hotel in Kusadasi and drives you to the Ephesus region. The day begins at the House of the Virgin Mary, continues through the marble-paved streets of ancient Ephesus past the State Agora, Curetes Street, Temple of Hadrian, Celsus Library, and the Grand Theatre, and concludes at the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
After breakfast, depart for Pamukkale, approximately two and a half hours from Kusadasi. The visit covers the famous calcite-laden travertine terraces cascading down a 200-metre cliff face and the ruins of Hierapolis, the ancient city built above the thermal springs. Return to Kusadasi in the afternoon.
Depart after breakfast for the ancient hilltop city of Priene, overlooking the Meander Valley, followed by Miletus, a major Ionian trading city whose Roman Theatre and Faustina Baths remain impressive today. The day ends at Didyma and the monumental Temple of Apollo, where the legendary cracked Medusa head still rests at ground level.
An early pickup leads to a two-hour drive north to Pergamum, known today as Bergama. The morning explores the Acropolis, including the near-vertical Hellenistic theatre, the Altar of Zeus, the Temple of Trajan, and the ruins of the once-vast library. The afternoon is spent at the Asklepion before the return drive to Kusadasi or transfer to Izmir Airport.
