Itinerary
Your guide collects you from your chosen location within Doha city limits and begins the drive south toward Al Wakrah Municipality. The journey through Qatar's southern landscape takes roughly 60 to 90 minutes depending on your starting point.
Upon reaching the desert area, you board a camel for a short traditional ride across the sand. This is a calm introduction to the dunes before the more active parts of the excursion begin.
A skilled driver takes the group across steep dunes in a 4x4 vehicle, navigating sharp inclines and descents at speed. This is the most intense activity of the tour and is classified as moderate in difficulty.
You climb to the top of one of the tallest dunes in the area and slide down on a board. No prior boarding experience is needed, and guides provide brief instruction before the descent.
The tour concludes at Khor Al Udeid, where you have time for a quick swim in the warm shallow waters of the Arabian Gulf. The setting — dunes meeting open water — is one of the most distinctive natural environments in Qatar.
