Itinerary Overview

Days 1–2: Istanbul

Live guiding inside Hagia Sophia is not permitted from 15 January 2024. Guests are required to bring a smartphone and headphones; audio guide devices are also available for purchase at the entrance. Guests without smartphones may follow the information boards inside the monument.

Can I upgrade to a cave hotel in Cappadocia? ▼
Yes. The standard accommodation in Cappadocia is a four-star hotel, but a cave hotel can be arranged upon request for an additional cost. This should be requested at the time of booking.
Is the hot air balloon ride in Cappadocia included? ▼
The balloon ride is optional and not included in the base tour price. It operates at sunrise and is one of the most sought-after experiences in Cappadocia. Availability depends on weather conditions on the day.
What happens if the Grand Bazaar is closed during my Istanbul visit? ▼
The Grand Bazaar is closed on Sundays. If the Istanbul tour day falls on a Sunday, the Spice Market (Misir Carsisi) will be visited as an alternative.
Why is live guiding no longer allowed inside Hagia Sophia? ▼
Following a regulation effective 15 January 2024, live guiding inside Hagia Sophia is no longer permitted. Guests use a QR-based audio system accessible via smartphone at ar.demx.org.tr, or may purchase headphones at the entrance for approximately 3.50 USD. Information boards are also available throughout the monument.
From which airport does the tour depart on the final day? ▼
The final private transfer on Day 10 goes to either Istanbul Airport (IST) or Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen Airport (SAW), depending on the guest's outbound flight. Transfer to the Istanbul cruise port can also be arranged.
