Seasiren Private Tour: Benagil Cave and Algarve Coast by Boat
An exclusive two-hour private voyage along the most spectacular stretch of the southern Portuguese coastline.
This private Benagil Cave boat tour takes a group of up to eight people on a curated route past sea caves, golden-limestone cliffs, and crystal-clear coves, with a dedicated crew managing every detail so guests can focus entirely on the scenery.
Departing from Clube Naval in Portimao, the vessel travels east along a coastline that alternates between towering rock arches and sheltered beaches accessible only by sea. The itinerary covers Alfanzina Lighthouse, the distinctive rock sculpture known locally as the Boneca at Algar Seco, and the celebrated Benagil sea cave before reaching the beaches of Marinha, Carvalho, and Vale Centeanes.
A scheduled swimming stop in calm, transparent waters breaks the journey, giving passengers time in the sea before returning to the padded sun deck. Snorkeling masks and stand-up paddle boards are available on request at the time of booking, extending the range of activities without adding complexity to the experience.
Because the tour is entirely private, the crew can adjust the pace and sequence of stops to suit the group. Families with young children, couples celebrating a special occasion, and small friend groups all find the format well suited to their needs.

A fully private booking for up to eight people means the itinerary can be adjusted to match the group's preferences and pace.
Itinerary
Passengers are asked to arrive thirty minutes before departure. The crew conducts a safety briefing, confirms documents, and assists with boarding.
The route begins with a pass along the cliffs below Alfanzina Lighthouse, followed by a close approach to the Boneca rock formation at Algar Seco. The geometry of the limestone here is distinct from anything further along the coast.
The boat enters the Benagil cave through its ocean-facing arch, revealing the domed interior and the oval skylight above. This is the central landmark of the tour and the point where most photography takes place.
The vessel continues east past three beaches framed by high sandstone cliffs. Each beach is visible from the water but unreachable by road, giving boat passengers a perspective that shore visitors cannot access.
The crew selects a calm anchoring point for a swimming stop. Passengers can enter the water freely, and those who requested snorkeling or stand-up paddle equipment at booking can use it here.
The boat makes a relaxed return to the departure point. The crew is available for questions and final photographs before disembarkation.
