2-Day Private Cairo Tour: Pyramids, Egyptian Museum & Coptic Heritage
Two days. Five thousand years of history. One unforgettable private journey through Cairo.
This 2-day private Cairo tour brings you face to face with the most iconic monuments of ancient, Christian, and Islamic Egypt, guided by a dedicated expert and transported in a private air-conditioned vehicle throughout. From the last surviving Wonder of the Ancient World to centuries-old churches and bustling bazaars, Cairo reveals a depth that few cities on earth can match.
On the first day, you will explore the treasures of the Egyptian Museum before heading to the Giza Plateau, where the Pyramids and the Sphinx have defined the image of Egypt for millennia. The second day offers a contrasting perspective, tracing the city's Coptic and Islamic layers through the Hanging Church, the Coptic Museum, a medieval citadel, and the atmospheric lanes of Khan El Khalili.
Because the tour is private, the pace, focus, and sequence can adapt to your interests. You travel with a knowledgeable guide from hotel pickup to drop-off, with no shared buses or fixed group schedules to contend with.

Itinerary
Your guide meets you at your hotel and transfers you to the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square. You will have time to view 165,000 artifacts spanning thousands of years, with the golden death mask and gilded coffins of Tutankhamun forming the centerpiece. A visit to the Mummies Hall is available at an additional cost.
After lunch at a Nile-side restaurant, you proceed to the Giza Plateau to visit the Pyramids of Giza and the Great Sphinx. Free time is available to enter one of the pyramids at an extra charge. The visit concludes with a stop at a traditional papyrus institute and perfume factory before returning to your hotel.
Your guide collects you for a morning dedicated to the historic Coptic quarter. You will visit the Hanging Church, suspended above a Roman-era gatehouse, and the Coptic Museum, which houses the world's largest collection of Egyptian Christian artifacts. Nearby stands the Ben Ezra Synagogue, whose 19th-century discovery revealed a remarkable cache of ancient Hebrew documents.
The afternoon begins at the Citadel of Saladin, the medieval hilltop fortress that served as the seat of Egyptian government for centuries.
