Packrafting Mreznica River – Upper Section
Crystal clear waters, hidden waterfalls, and narrow canyon thrills near Plitvice Lakes.
Packrafting Mreznica River offers a rare chance to navigate a pristine canyon by solo inflatable raft, reaching corners of the river that larger boats simply cannot access. This moderate three-hour experience is designed for active travelers who want genuine immersion in untouched Croatian nature.
The Mreznica River flows through a striking limestone canyon carved by centuries of water movement. Travertine formations, translucent pools, and a continuous series of cascades define the route, creating a setting that rewards both the adventurous and the observant.
Participants paddle approximately six kilometers of the upper section, encountering rapids, natural waterfall drops, and open stretches of calm water in sequence. The journey ends downstream, where a short van transfer returns the group to the starting base.
This trip suits those who have little or no prior rafting experience but are comfortable in active outdoor settings. The guided format keeps the experience safe and well-paced throughout.
