Valley of the Kings, Colossi of Memnon and Hatshepsut Temple Tour
Step into the world of ancient pharaohs along the sacred west bank of the Nile.
This Valley of the Kings tour takes you deep into the heart of ancient Thebes, where Egypt's most powerful rulers were laid to rest in elaborately decorated underground tombs. Spanning five hours, the experience covers three of the most historically significant sites on Luxor's West Bank.
The journey begins at the Colossi of Memnon, the twin stone giants that have stood guard over the floodplain for over three thousand years. These colossal statues once marked the entrance to a vast mortuary temple, now largely vanished, and remain among the most recognizable monuments in Upper Egypt.
From there, the tour continues to Hatshepsut Temple at Deir el-Bahari, a striking terraced structure carved into the limestone cliffs. Built for one of ancient Egypt's most accomplished rulers, the temple stands as a testament to her reign of nearly two decades and her lasting influence on Egyptian art and architecture.
The final stop is the Valley of the Kings, where you will have the opportunity to enter the decorated tombs of pharaohs from the New Kingdom period. The painted walls and hieroglyphic inscriptions inside the tombs reveal beliefs about the afterlife that shaped one of the world's greatest civilizations.
