Canyoning Guadalmina: The Best Canyon Adventure in Estepona
Wade, swim, and rappel through one of Andalusia's most accessible natural canyons.
Canyoning Guadalmina is a beginner-friendly canyon descent that takes you through a spectacular 2 km stretch of the Guadalmina River, tucked into the hills above Benahavis on the Costa del Sol. No previous canyoning experience is required, making this route one of the most approachable ways to discover the sport in southern Spain.
The route combines short stretches of swimming, optional water jumps reaching up to 5 meters, and a 4-meter rappel descent near the canyon exit. Every technical element is supervised by qualified guides who provide full equipment and ensure safe progression through the narrow gorge.
This activity is well suited for families, groups of friends, and solo travelers who want an active half-day outdoors without committing to a technically demanding adventure. Participants must be comfortable in water, as several swimming sections are part of the natural course of the canyon.
