What makes the Huanghuacheng section of the Great Wall different from other sections?▼
The Huanghuacheng section, known as the Water Great Wall, is unique because dams built in the 1970s and 1990s have caused parts of the wall to be submerged in a reservoir lake. It offers elevated views of both water and wall together and receives considerably fewer visitors than sections like Mutianyu or Badaling.
How do we travel between Beijing and Xi'an?▼
The tour includes second-class high-speed train tickets in both directions between Beijing West Railway Station and Xi'an. The journey takes approximately four to five hours.
Is the Xi'an Museum visit always possible?▼
The Xi'an Museum is closed on Tuesdays. If your Day 5 falls on a Tuesday, access to this site will not be possible and the visit may be adjusted accordingly.
Can I rent a bicycle on the Xi'an City Wall?▼
Yes, bicycles and electric bikes are available to rent directly on top of the city wall at your own expense. You can choose to ride the full perimeter or just a portion of the 14-kilometre wall.
