Beaches of Chia and Tueredda: Full-Day Tour from Cagliari
Crystal-clear waters, pink flamingos, and the wild coastline of southern Sardinia in a single unforgettable day.
This Chia and Tuerredda beach tour takes you to two of the most celebrated stretches of coastline in southern Sardinia, combining turquoise sea, natural lagoons, and authentic local knowledge in a relaxed full-day excursion departing directly from Cagliari.
The southern tip of Sardinia is widely regarded as one of the Mediterranean's most unspoiled coastal zones. The area between Chia and Tuerredda features fine white sand, low dunes, and shallow, brilliantly coloured water that shifts from pale turquoise to deep cobalt depending on the light and the hour.
Local guides accompany the group throughout the day, sharing anecdotes and practical knowledge about the landscape, the ecology of the coastal ponds, and the communities that have shaped this part of the island. Two generous beach stops allow plenty of time to swim, walk the shoreline, or simply rest in the open air.
At Tuerredda, a small rocky islet sits just offshore, making the bay one of the most photographed spots on the island. At Su Giudeu, the adjacent lagoon regularly hosts colonies of pink flamingos alongside other aquatic bird species, adding a wildlife dimension to the coastal experience.

Itinerary
The group meets with the guide at the designated point in Cagliari before boarding a minibus or private car. The transfer covers approximately 60 km to the Chia coastline and takes around one hour.
Upon arrival, the guide provides orientation and local context before the group enjoys a free stop of approximately two and a half hours. Access to Tuerredda is managed by order of arrival with no advance reservation possible, so punctuality is essential.
After regrouping, the guide leads a short transfer to the second beach stop at Su Giudeu, another stretch of fine sand set against a backdrop of low coastal vegetation.
A second stop of approximately two and a half hours allows for swimming, relaxation, and a walk to the adjacent pond where pink flamingos and other aquatic species can frequently be observed.
