The first stop is DeMorgenzon (DMZ), an estate whose vineyards overlook Table Mountain and Cape Point from 200 to 400 metres above sea level. DMZ is internationally recognised for its award-winning Chardonnay and its distinctive practice of playing classical music throughout the vineyards.
A guided orientation of Stellenbosch introduces the Dutch-style architecture, historic landmarks and the world-renowned Stellenbosch University, which enrolls over 30,000 students annually. The tour then continues to Marianne Wine Estate for a biltong and wine pairing, featuring handcrafted wines in the French Bordeaux style with a South African character.
At Fairview Wine and Cheese Estate in Paarl, guests choose from three wine ranges and a selection of artisan cheeses in the estate deli.
