3-Day Luxor Tour from Cairo by Sleeper Train
Ride the rails through the night and wake up to the wonders of ancient Egypt's greatest open-air museum.
This 3-day Luxor tour from Cairo by sleeper train delivers an immersive journey through the heart of ancient Upper Egypt, combining overnight rail travel with guided visits to the most significant pharaonic monuments on earth. A private Egyptologist accompanies you throughout, providing context that transforms stone and hieroglyph into living history.
The itinerary covers both banks of the Nile at Luxor, including Karnak Temple Complex, Luxor Temple, the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple at Deir el-Bahari, and the Colossi of Memnon. A dedicated day extends the journey north to Dendera and south to Medinet Habu, sites that many visitors to Luxor miss entirely.
Travel between Cairo and Luxor is handled by sleeper train in each direction, with meals provided on board. The format is efficient and atmospheric, removing the need for a domestic flight while adding a layer of classic Egyptian travel experience that road or air transfers simply cannot replicate.
