See All Pyramids and Cairo in 2 Days Tour
Dahshur, Saqqara, Giza, the Egyptian Museum, and a Nile dinner cruise — all in one private two-day journey through ancient and modern Cairo.
This private Cairo pyramids and Egyptologist tour takes you across the full arc of Egypt's monumental past, from the early architectural experiments at Dahshur to the iconic plateau at Giza, with expert commentary at every step.
Over two days, a qualified Egyptologist guide accompanies you to the major pyramid fields at Dahshur, Saqqara, and Giza, as well as the Egyptian Museum, the Citadel, Coptic Cairo, and the vibrant lanes of Khan El Khalili Bazaar. Evenings are equally memorable: a dramatic Sound and Light Show at the Giza pyramids is followed by a Nile dinner cruise featuring belly dance and whirling dervish performances.
Hotel pickup and drop-off are included, removing any logistical friction and allowing you to focus entirely on the experience. Dinner overlooking the Great Sphinx and a camel ride on the Giza plateau round out a programme designed to offer depth as well as spectacle.

Day-by-Day Itinerary
Your Egyptologist guide leads you to the Giza plateau to see the pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure alongside the Valley Temple and the Great Sphinx. A camel ride on the plateau is included before you continue south to Dahshur, where the Bent Pyramid and the Red Pyramid — both built under King Sneferu — illustrate the architectural evolution that preceded Giza.
The vast necropolis of Saqqara holds eleven pyramids, including Egypt's oldest, along with the richly decorated Mastaba of Ti and the Serapeum — burial place of the sacred Apis bulls. The small but significant Imhotep Museum on site houses a focused collection of objects excavated from the surrounding area.
As darkness falls over the Giza plateau, the Sound and Light Show projects the history of the pharaohs across the pyramid complex, with the Sphinx serving as the narrator of ancient tales. Available in ten languages, the show offers a theatrical close to your first day.
Day two opens at the Egyptian Museum, home to the treasures of Tutankhamun and one of the world's foremost collections of ancient artefacts. You then visit the Saladin Citadel — begun in 1176 AD to defend against Crusader armies — and Coptic Cairo, where ancient churches and the Coptic Museum record Egypt's Christian centuries alongside the remains of the Roman fort of Babylon.
The afternoon is spent navigating the labyrinthine lanes of Khan El Khalili, where spice markets, perfume stalls, gold vendors, fabric shops, and antique dealers fill a district that has served traders for centuries. Even without a purchase in mind, the sensory landscape of the bazaar is a destination in itself.
The tour concludes with a dinner cruise on the Nile, combining Egyptian cuisine with live performances of belly dancing and the spinning ritual of the whirling dervishes. After the cruise, your guide arranges hotel drop-off to complete the two-day programme.
