Your guide collects you from your Cairo hotel in the early evening and transfers you to the northern entrance of Al-Mu'izz Street. The tour begins at Bab al-Futuh and Bab al-Nasr, the monumental Fatimid gates that mark the original northern boundary of the medieval city.

Walking south along the street, you visit the Mosque and Madrasa of Sultan Barquq, the small but ornate Mosque of Al-Aqmar, and the vast complex of Sultan Qalawun, which incorporates a mausoleum, a hospital, and a madrasa within a single medieval block.

The tour enters El Darb El Asfar, the oldest quarter of Islamic Cairo, to visit Bayt al-Suhaymi, a 350-year-old Ottoman townhouse with a well-preserved courtyard. The route then follows Darb al-Ahmar Street toward Bab Zuweila, passing active craft workshops along the way.

Near Bab Zuweila, you pass through the Saddle Makers Market, one of Cairo's oldest specialist trade streets, and continue past the Blue Mosque, notable for its distinctive Iznik-tiled interior facing.

The evening concludes at Al-Azhar Park, where the group gathers at the hilltop restaurant for dinner. The elevated position of the park provides an unobstructed panoramic view over the domes and minarets of Islamic Cairo as the city lights come on.

After dinner, your guide accompanies the group back to the waiting vehicle for a direct transfer to your Cairo hotel, concluding the evening tour.
