Pyramids, Egyptian Museum, and Coptic Cairo Private Tour
From ancient pharaohs to early Christianity — two iconic days in Egypt's historic capital
This 2-day private Cairo tour takes you through three of Egypt's most significant historical layers: the Giza Plateau with its legendary pyramids, the world-renowned Egyptian Museum, and the spiritually charged district of Coptic Cairo with its remarkable cave churches.
Each day is paced comfortably with private transportation from your hotel, an expert local guide, and a lunch stop at a local restaurant. The itinerary is designed for travelers who want depth without rush.
On day one, you will stand before the last surviving Wonder of the Ancient World and explore thousands of years of Pharaonic civilization. On day two, you will walk the streets where the Holy Family once sought refuge and enter churches carved into living rock.
This tour is rated easy in difficulty, making it accessible for most travelers regardless of prior experience with historical sites in Egypt.

Day-by-Day Itinerary
Your guide picks you up from your hotel and transfers you to the Giza Plateau. You will visit the Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinus, followed by the Great Sphinx and the Valley Temple of Chephren.
After lunch at a local restaurant, you proceed to the Egyptian Museum in central Cairo. The museum holds the largest collection of Pharaonic art in the world, including the complete treasure of Tutankhamen's tomb, discovered in the 1920s.
On the second morning, your guide collects you from the hotel and takes you to Old Cairo, the historic Coptic district. You will visit the Church of Abu Serga, the Church of St. Barbara, and the Hanging Church within the ancient Fort of Babylon.
The tour continues to the Moqattam Mountain district, where seven cave churches have been carved into the rock face. The Monastery of St. Simon the Tanner houses the largest, featuring an open-air amphitheater seating 20,000 people. You are then transferred back to your hotel.
