Arrive 30 minutes before departure at the Discover Tours by AlgarExperience check-in desk. Present your ticket to the operator and collect your boarding pass before joining the crew.
Once on board the Melhor do Mar, the catamaran sets sail along the Algarve coast. The route passes through the Praia dos Caneiros area, Carvoeiro and Alfanzina, where layered sandstone cliffs define the shoreline.
The catamaran approaches the Benagil Cave, one of the most photographed natural formations on the Portuguese coast. Light enters through a circular opening at the top of the chamber, producing a calm and distinctive interior atmosphere. Disembarking inside the cave is not permitted for safety reasons.
The catamaran anchors near a protected beach, providing an opportunity for a swim in calm waters. The crew remains available throughout this stop. Snorkeling equipment and towels are available for rent at check-in upon a security deposit.
With the catamaran still at anchor, a two-moment brunch is served. The first moment includes items such as Algarve-style gazpacho, marinated olives, mini codfish cakes and carob cake. The second moment features sardine tiborna, a Mediterranean green wrap, a Serra skewer and vegan almond panna cotta with pomegranate.
The return journey follows the same coastline, offering a second opportunity to take in the cliffs and rock formations before arriving back at Portimão Marina.
