What to Expect
Arrive at the XRide office at Albufeira Marina 30 minutes before departure to complete check-in. The office is located within the marina complex and can be found on Google Maps under XRide Algarve.
The vessel departs from the marina and heads along the Algarve coastline, passing sculpted limestone rock formations, sea arches, and hidden grottos. The crew provides commentary on the geological features and local marine environment.
Subject to sea conditions and port authority approval, the boat enters the famous Benagil cave system. If the caves are closed by maritime authorities on the day, the tour continues along the coast without entry.
The cruise moves into open water to look for dolphins in their natural habitat. Common and bottlenose dolphins are frequently encountered in these waters, though sightings cannot be guaranteed as the animals are wild.
A brief stop for swimming is included when sea conditions allow and no guests on board are experiencing seasickness. Guests are encouraged to bring a swimsuit and towel in anticipation of this segment.
The vessel returns to the Marina of Albufeira, completing the 2.5-hour experience. Strollers left at the office can be collected upon return.
