4-Day Private Nile Cruise: Aswan to Luxor (or Luxor to Aswan)
Sail the world's greatest river through the heart of ancient Egypt in five-star comfort.
A VIP Nile cruise from Aswan to Luxor remains one of the most complete ways to experience ancient Egyptian civilization, connecting iconic temples, towering obelisks, and royal tombs along a single legendary waterway. This four-day journey pairs five-star accommodation aboard a deluxe cruise ship with daily guided excursions led by a qualified Egyptologist. All meals and private transfers are included, making the experience genuinely all-inclusive.
The itinerary moves at a measured pace, allowing time to absorb each site without the pressure of a rushed day trip. Stops range from the island sanctuary of Philae Temple to the colossal hypostyle hall at Karnak, each visited with an expert guide who provides context that transforms ruins into living history. A private upgrade ensures one-on-one attention throughout every excursion.
Travelers can choose to begin in Aswan or Luxor, and an optional transfer to Hurghada is available at the journey's conclusion for added flexibility. Several optional excursions, including a dawn visit to Abu Simbel and a morning tour of the Valley of the Kings, are available at additional cost and should be reserved in advance. The cruise operates on selected departure days, so early booking is recommended.

Day-by-Day Itinerary
On arrival morning, a guide accompanies you to three of Aswan's defining landmarks. Philae Temple, reached by motor boat, sits on a Nile island and is dedicated to Isis, goddess of magic and love. The Unfinished Obelisk, abandoned in the granite quarry centuries ago, reveals how ancient Egyptians carved these monumental structures from solid rock. You then board the five-star deluxe cruise ship and set sail toward Kom Ombo.
The cruise docks at Kom Ombo, where the temple stands on high ground overlooking the Nile with its distinctive dual-entrance design honoring both Sobek and Haroeris. An optional pre-dawn excursion to Abu Simbel, available at additional cost and requiring advance booking, allows visits to the twin rock-cut temples of Ramesses II and Queen Nefertari. The evening is spent aboard the cruise as it continues north along the river.
Morning brings a visit to the Temple of Horus at Edfu, the most completely preserved pharaonic temple in Egypt, before the ship resumes its journey toward Luxor. On the East Bank of Luxor, the Karnak Temple complex awaits with its Avenue of Sphinxes, the immense Hypostyle Hall supported by 134 columns, and the Sacred Lake. Luxor Temple, built by multiple pharaohs and dedicated to the god Amun-Re, concludes the day's sightseeing before returning to the cruise for an overnight stay.
The cruise disembarks in Luxor by midday. An optional West Bank excursion, available at additional cost and offered in the early morning, covers four royal tombs in the Valley of the Kings including the tomb of Tutankhamun, and the mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari. The Colossi of Memnon, two massive statues of Amenhotep III, are also passed en route. Transfers to central Luxor or onward to Hurghada are available upon request.
