3-Day Luxor City Break Package
Discover the ancient heart of Egypt across the East and West Banks of Luxor in three well-paced days.
This Luxor city break takes you through some of the most remarkable archaeological sites on earth, from royal burial chambers in the Valley of the Kings to the colossal columns of Karnak Temple. The itinerary is designed for all experience levels, rated easy, and suits families, couples, and solo travelers alike. A private Egyptologist guide and air-conditioned transport are included throughout.
Luxor sits on the east bank of the Nile in Upper Egypt and is widely regarded as the world's greatest open-air museum. Within a short drive, you can stand inside a pharaonic tomb carved more than 3,000 years ago, then cross the river to walk the processional avenue of a temple still used for festivals in antiquity. The contrast between the two banks of the Nile is one of the defining experiences of any visit to Egypt.
Beyond the headline monuments, the program includes two specialist museums that many visitors overlook. The Luxor Museum holds a curated collection of statuary and artifacts, while the Mummification Museum offers a detailed account of funerary practice in ancient Egypt. Both sites add depth to what you see in the field and require no more than a morning to appreciate properly.
Accommodation is provided at the Sonesta St. George Hotel Luxor, a well-regarded property on the Nile corniche. Breakfast and lunch are included on touring days, and dinner is provided on the first evening, giving you flexibility to explore the city independently at night if you choose.
