Farm Stay, Golden Circle, Snaefellsnes & Silver Circle Private Tour
Three days of Iceland's most celebrated landscapes, grounded in the warmth of authentic farm life.
This private 3-day Iceland farm stay and Golden Circle tour connects the country's most iconic natural wonders with the unhurried rhythm of a working West Iceland farm, giving travelers a rare blend of adventure and genuine rural immersion.
Over three carefully structured days, you will move through the Golden Circle, the Silver Circle, and the full length of the Snaefellsnes Peninsula — three of Iceland's most distinct and celebrated routes. Each evening, you return to a private three-bedroom apartment on a family farm, where horses graze nearby and the skies are dark enough to reveal the Northern Lights.
Daily farm-fresh breakfasts, flexible pace, and private guidance mean the experience adapts to your group rather than the other way around. Whether you spend a slow morning with the sheep before departure or linger at a waterfall longer than planned, this itinerary is designed to breathe.
From the tectonic drama of Thingvellir to the cinematic symmetry of Kirkjufell, the landscapes shift dramatically with each passing hour. Yet the farm — quiet, animal-filled, and genuinely personal — provides a consistent anchor that separates this journey from any standard sightseeing circuit.
Tour Highlights
Walk the rim of Kerid volcanic crater and descend to its vivid blue-green lake, one of Iceland's most photogenic geological features.
Stand at Gullfoss as glacial meltwater crashes in two tiers into a rugged canyon, with rainbows forming in the spray on clear days.
Spend two nights at a working family farm in West Iceland, with access to horses, sheep, and a private apartment with countryside views.
Visit Deildartunguhver, Europe's most powerful hot spring, and Hraunfossar, where glacial rivers seep through ancient lava fields in countless streams.
Photograph Kirkjufell, Iceland's most recognized mountain and a filming location for Game of Thrones, framed by its signature waterfalls.
Discover the black wooden church at Budir, a striking landmark set against lava fields and ocean on the Snaefellsnes Peninsula.
Enjoy access to one of West Iceland's best Northern Lights viewing spots, with minimal light pollution and total darkness just five minutes from the farm.
Itinerary Overview
Depart Reykjavik and travel the Golden Circle, visiting Kerid crater, Geysir geothermal area with the reliably erupting Strokkur, the thundering Gullfoss waterfall, and the UNESCO-listed Thingvellir National Park. Arrive at the family farm in the evening, settle into your private apartment, and meet the horses and sheep before a quiet countryside night.
After a farm-fresh breakfast and a relaxed morning with the animals, depart at 10:00 AM for the Silver Circle. Stops include the hidden Glanni Waterfall, the climbable Grabrок volcanic crater, the powerful Deildartunguhver hot spring, and the extraordinary Hraunfossar and Barnafoss waterfalls. Return to the farm for your second overnight stay.
Begin with breakfast at the farm before heading to the Snaefellsnes Peninsula, Iceland in Miniature. Visit the sea cliffs of Arnarstapi, the black-sand beach and shipwreck site at Djupalonssandur, the iconic Budir black church, and Kirkjufell mountain. End the day with a comfortable drive back to your preferred location in Reykjavik.
On clear nights, the farm's remote location and minimal light pollution create excellent conditions for Northern Lights viewing. A short five-minute drive brings your group to complete darkness, and your guide will do their best to find optimal viewing conditions during your stay.
