1-Hour Buggy Tour in Iceland: Drive Through Waterfalls and Gravel Roads
A hands-on off-road experience through iconic Icelandic scenery, built for two.
This 1-hour buggy tour in Iceland puts you behind the wheel of a rugged, road-legal 4x4 vehicle and takes you through some of the most dramatic natural landscapes the country has to offer. Starting from Bru Base by Road 249, the tour combines the thrill of off-road driving with unobstructed views of Icelandic waterfalls and volcanic terrain.
Buggy touring represents one of the newer ways to explore Iceland's backcountry, offering a more dynamic alternative to traditional ATV experiences. The two-seater vehicles are fully automatic and designed with safety in mind, featuring roll cages, safety belts, and double A-arm front suspension for a stable and controlled ride.
Before setting off, every participant receives a thorough safety briefing and is equipped with a full snow suit and helmet. The route follows gravel roads and natural tracks, delivering close-up access to scenery that would be difficult to reach on foot or by conventional vehicle.
Each buggy accommodates one or two passengers, making this a well-suited activity for couples, friends, or solo travelers willing to share a ride. The difficulty level is rated easy, so prior off-road driving experience is not required, though a valid driver's license is mandatory for all drivers.
