          Monterosso al Mare is a coastal village in Liguria, northwestern Italy, part of the Cinque Terre UNESCO World Heritage site. The village features colorful houses, a medieval tower, and pebble beaches overlooking the Mediterranean.           Monterosso al Mare is the northernmost and largest of the five Cinque Terre villages located in the province of La Spezia, Liguria, northwestern Italy. It sits within the Cinque Terre National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997, and is accessible via regional train from La Spezia Centrale and Levanto. The village is divided into the historic centro storico and the modern Fegina seafront district, connected by a pedestrian tunnel through the coastal headland.
