Xi'an City Break: Terracotta Warriors, Ancient Walls and Muslim Quarter
This Xi'an private city break takes you through four days of living history, from the silent ranks of the Terracotta Warriors to the vibrant street food stalls of the Muslim Quarter. Guided every step of the way, you travel at a comfortable pace suited to all experience levels.
Xi'an served as the imperial capital for thirteen dynasties and once marked the eastern terminus of the Silk Road. Its streets carry the cultural imprint of traders, pilgrims, and rulers who passed through across two thousand years of continuous habitation.
The tour balances structured sightseeing with genuine free time, allowing you to wander the ancient city walls independently or sample hand-pulled noodles and lamb skewers at your own rhythm. Optional excursions on day three let you tailor the experience to your interests.
All logistics are handled from the moment you land, with private transfers connecting the airport or railway station to your hotel and each site on the itinerary. A dedicated English-speaking guide accompanies you throughout the core touring days.
Tour Highlights
Stand before the Terracotta Warriors Museum and encounter the excavated armies of Qin Shi Huang, the first Emperor of China, considered the eighth wonder of the ancient world.
Walk or cycle along the Xi'an Ancient City Wall, one of the oldest, largest, and best-preserved city fortifications anywhere in China.
Explore the Muslim Quarter, a lively district of mosques, market streets, and local snack vendors that reflects Xi'an's centuries-old multicultural heritage.
Visit the Small Wild Goose Pagoda and Xi'an Museum on an optional excursion to deepen your understanding of the city's dynastic history.
Discover the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, a Tang Dynasty Buddhist structure dating to 652 AD and one of the oldest surviving pagodas in all of China.
Uncover the two-thousand-year tradition of Farmer's Painting in Hu County on an optional full-day trip into the rural folk-art heritage of the Shaanxi region.
Sample street food and regional specialities at market stalls in the Muslim Quarter, where local flavours tell their own story of cultural exchange along the Silk Road.
