Sunset Sailing in Barcelona with Open Bar and Tapas
Glide along the Barcelona coastline as the sun dips below the skyline, glass in hand.
This Barcelona sunset sailing experience aboard a Beneteau Oceanis 41 yacht offers a relaxed and scenic way to discover the city from the water, complete with an open bar and tapas included throughout the journey.
Departing from Marina Vela inside Port Vell, the route takes you past some of the most recognisable landmarks on the Barcelona waterfront. The iconic Christopher Columbus statue, the Sagrada Familia visible from the open sea, and the distinctive twin towers of Port Olimpic all appear as natural waypoints along the coastline.
Once the skipper hoists the sails, guests are free to sit back and enjoy the breeze, assist with the sailing if they wish, or take a swim in the Mediterranean. The experience is designed to be flexible, social, and genuinely enjoyable for all levels of sailing experience.
The open bar keeps drinks flowing throughout, and tapas are served on deck, making this as much a dining and social occasion as a sailing trip. The pace is unhurried and the atmosphere informal, suited to couples, small groups, and solo travellers alike.

Itinerary
The journey begins with a short safety briefing at Marina Vela before the lines are slipped and the yacht motors out through the main harbour. The busy waterway offers an immediate spectacle of cruise liners, superyachts, and tall ships.
Halfway through the exit of Port Vell, the famous Columbus monument comes into clear view, its figure pointing toward the Americas. This is one of the most recognisable landmarks on the Barcelona waterfront and a natural photo moment.
Once clear of the harbour, the skipper raises the sails and the yacht begins its journey along the Barcelona coastline. From this vantage point, the Sagrada Familia rises unmistakably above the rooftops of the city.
The route continues past the main city beaches before reaching Port Olimpic, marked by its two landmark towers and the large bronze whale sculpture on the waterfront. Guests enjoy the open bar and tapas throughout this stretch.
Guests have the opportunity to swim in the open Mediterranean before the yacht makes its way back to Marina Vela. The return journey completes the two-hour experience as the city lights begin to emerge along the shoreline.
