Private Reykjanes Peninsula & Blue Lagoon Tour
A full-day private journey through UNESCO-recognized geosites, volcanic landscapes, and the iconic Blue Lagoon.
This Private Reykjanes Peninsula Tour takes you through one of Iceland's most geologically active regions, a UNESCO Global Geopark recognized in 2015 for its international significance. From tectonic plate boundaries to boiling mud pools and a world-famous geothermal spa, the peninsula packs an extraordinary range of natural phenomena into a single day.
Your private guide picks you up directly from your Reykjavik hotel, ensuring a seamless and personalized experience from start to finish. With a small group setting, you have the flexibility to spend meaningful time at each site rather than rushing through a checklist.
The Reykjanes Peninsula sits on the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, making it one of the few places on earth where tectonic activity is visible at the surface. The landscape shifts constantly between volcanic rock fields, steaming vents, dramatic coastal cliffs, and tranquil lake shores.
Tour Highlights
Walk the Bridge Between Continents, spanning the visible gap between the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates in Sandvík.
Explore Gunnuhver, home to Iceland's largest mud pool — a 20-meter-wide boiling cauldron steeped in geological and folkloric history.
Visit Reykjanes Lighthouse and Valahnúkamöl, where sea cliffs meet the mid-Atlantic ridge and a Great Auk statue marks a sobering chapter in natural history.
Soak for two hours in the Blue Lagoon's silica- and mineral-rich geothermal waters, a resource found nowhere else on earth.
Walk through Seltún's geothermal field in the Krýsuvík volcanic system, where colorful mineral deposits and steaming pools create a vivid natural tableau.
Pause at Kleifarvatn, the peninsula's largest lake and one of Iceland's deepest, framed by striking lava formations ideal for photography.
