Itinerary
Your guide collects you from your hotel reception in an air-conditioned vehicle. The drive takes you to Port Ghalib marine, located about one kilometer south of Marsa Alam Airport.
The speedboat departs from Port Ghalib and reaches Marsa Mubarak in approximately 25 minutes. Your guide delivers a briefing covering local marine life, responsible wildlife interaction guidelines, and safety instructions.
The boat searches the bay to locate the resident dugong. Once found, the group enters the water for approximately one hour of snorkeling alongside this rare marine mammal, observing from a respectful distance without physical contact.
Return to the boat for a freshly prepared lunch served while anchored at Marsa Mubarak. This break also provides time to rest and explore the surrounding coral reef scenery from the deck.
The second snorkeling session focuses on the large green sea turtles that inhabit Marsa Mubarak, along with the bay's vibrant reef fish population including clownfish. The coral formations here are considered among the most intact in this section of the Red Sea.
