Luxor: Medinet Habu, Deir el-Medina & Valley of Queens Tour
Step into the world of pharaohs, royal tombs, and artisan villages on Luxor's remarkable West Bank.
This private Luxor West Bank tour takes you through three of the most historically significant yet undervisited sites on the Theban necropolis. With a dedicated Egyptologist guide and private air-conditioned transport, you experience the depth of ancient Egyptian civilization at a pace that suits you.
Medinet Habu stands as one of the best-preserved mortuary temples in all of Egypt, its towering walls still bearing vivid carvings that recount the military campaigns of Ramesses III. The complex shares its architectural DNA with the Ramesseum, offering a compelling comparison for those who have explored other Ramesside monuments.
Deir el-Medina pulls back the curtain on the people who built the royal tombs — the skilled artisans, painters, and craftsmen of the New Kingdom. Their own tombs, decorated with paintings that remain remarkably fresh after more than three thousand years, reveal the daily life, beliefs, and creativity of ancient Egypt's working class.
The Valley of the Queens, known in antiquity as Ta-Set-Neferu, served as the burial ground for royal consorts, princes, and princesses across the 18th, 19th, and 20th dynasties. The site offers a quieter, more intimate encounter with royal funerary art compared to the Valley of the Kings.

Tour Itinerary
Your Egyptologist guide and private air-conditioned vehicle collect you from your accommodation in Luxor. The group then crosses to the West Bank of the Nile to begin the day's exploration.
Set near the foot of the Theban Hills, this approximately 150-metre-long temple is one of the finest examples of Ramesside architecture in Egypt. Massive pylons, open courts, and deeply carved reliefs document the reign and victories of Ramesses III in extraordinary detail.
This ancient village housed the artisans responsible for constructing and decorating the royal tombs during the New Kingdom (ca. 1550–1080 BC). The tombs of the workers themselves contain wall paintings of exceptional quality, offering insight into beliefs and daily life outside the royal sphere.
The final stop on the tour, this valley served as the resting place for queens, princes, and princesses of the 18th to 20th dynasties (1550–1070 BCE). The decorated tombs here differ in character from those of the kings, with more intimate scenes drawn from religious texts and the afterlife.
After completing the Valley of the Queens visit, you are transferred back to your hotel or Nile cruise in Luxor, concluding the tour.
