Kayak Naturaliste aux Iles des Embiez et Cap Sicié
A full-day paddle through a protected Mediterranean archipelago and dramatic coastal cliffs, adapted to the best conditions of the day.
This kayak naturaliste Iles des Embiez experience takes you through one of the most carefully preserved corners of the French Mediterranean coast, combining natural heritage, marine biodiversity, and raw coastal scenery over eight hours on the water.
The tour departs from the Plage du Brusc and circles the Embiez Archipelago, where the Grand Ile — historically linked to Paul Ricard — hosts a car-free village, a working port, and a respected oceanographic institute, all within a protected natural zone of sandy coves and remarkable underwater habitats.
When westerly winds or the Mistral make the Embiez route unsuitable, the departure shifts to Plage de Fabrégas near Les Sablettes, and the route follows the base of Cap Sicié — cliffs rising to 350 metres — past wild beaches and toward the twin islets known as Les Deux Frères. Both routes are considered among the finest sea kayak outings in the region.
