Your guide meets you at the airport or hotel and escorts you into the historic Sultanahmet district. The day opens with Hagia Sophia, the Late Antique structure completed in 537 that served successively as a Byzantine cathedral, an Ottoman mosque, a secular museum, and once again a functioning mosque from 2020.

Topkapi Palace, the seat of Ottoman governance from the 15th century onward, is explored with pre-arranged skip-the-line access. The tour then continues to the Sultan Ahmed Mosque, commonly called the Blue Mosque, an imperial complex built between 1609 and 1616 that remains an active place of worship alongside its role as a major visitor site.

The Hippodrome of Constantinople, once the social and sporting center of the Byzantine capital, provides a grounding stop before the day closes with approximately one hour of free time in the Grand Bazaar. You then stay overnight in Istanbul to rest before the second day.

A ninety-minute boat journey along the Bosphorus follows, revealing waterfront palaces, historic yalis, and the cityscape from a perspective only available from the strait.

The Spice Bazaar in the Eminonu quarter, the second most visited covered market after the Grand Bazaar, offers a sensory immersion into Istanbul's trading traditions. The tour then crosses to the Asian side of the city, ascending Camlica Hill for panoramic views before finishing at Pierre Loti Hill, reached by cable car, with a final outlook over the Golden Horn.
