This is a guided introduction to Algarve wine tasting rooted in the terroir of southern Portugal, combining a walk through the vineyards with a visit to the cellar and a curated tasting of three premium wines from Paxá.
The experience begins in the vines, where your guide shares the story of the land and the grape varieties that define the Paxá style. From there, the visit moves into the winery itself, where you can observe the vinification process and understand what sets Algarve wines apart from those produced elsewhere in Portugal.
The tasting session takes place in either the outdoor tasting area, which offers an open view across the vineyard, or in the welcoming indoor room depending on the weather and your preference. A small board of local aperitifs accompanies the wines to round out the sensory experience.

Itinerary
Arrive at the Paxá Wines estate and meet your guide. The session begins with a brief introduction to the history of the property and the philosophy behind its wines.
Stroll through the vineyards and learn about the grape varieties grown, the characteristics of the local soil, and the influence of the Algarve climate on the harvest.
Enter the winery and follow the winemaking process from fermentation to bottling. Your guide explains each stage and answers questions about the techniques used at Paxá.
Take your seat in the outdoor area overlooking the vines or in the indoor tasting room. Three premium wines are poured and presented in sequence, accompanied by tasting notes and context.
A small board of local aperitifs is served alongside the wines. Guests who have selected the optional upgrade enjoy a fuller board of regional cheeses, cured meats, fig cheese, and fruit.
