Guangzhou Private City Break: Canton Tower, Chen Clan Academy and the Pearl River
Four days of cultural discovery along the Pearl River, from imperial heritage to contemporary landmarks.
This Guangzhou private city break introduces you to one of southern China's most dynamic metropolises over four carefully structured days. A dedicated English-speaking guide accompanies you throughout, ensuring a seamless and immersive visit from arrival to departure.
Guangzhou sits on the northern bank of the Pearl River and has long served as a gateway between China and the wider world. Its streets layer colonial-era architecture alongside cutting-edge structures, creating a cityscape that rewards curious exploration at every turn.
Beyond the headline sights, the tour includes a full day of leisure with a choice of three optional full-day excursions. These range from the UNESCO-listed Kaiping Diaolou watchtowers to the ceramics traditions of Foshan and the garden art of Baomo Garden, allowing you to tailor the experience to your interests.
Tour Highlights
Ascend Canton Tower, China's tallest TV tower and the third tallest in the world, for a panoramic view over the Pearl River and the city skyline.
Explore Chen Clan Academy, a richly ornamented complex housing an exceptional collection of wood, stone, brick, pottery, plaster and iron carvings.
Walk through Yuexiu Park, a large urban green space that provides a peaceful contrast to the surrounding modern city.
Visit the Museum of the Nanyue King of Western Han Dynasty and trace more than 2,000 years of political, economic and cultural history.
Stop at Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, an architectural tribute to the founding father of modern China located in the heart of the city.
Choose from three optional excursions on your free day, covering the Kaiping Diaolou heritage sites, the ancient kilns of Foshan, or the scenic Baomo Garden complex.
Sample local Cantonese specialities at included lunches, experiencing the gastronomy that has made this region one of China's most celebrated culinary destinations.
