From Olbia: Catamaran Tour Between Tavolara and Cala Moresca
Sail the protected marine waters of north-eastern Sardinia aboard a comfortable catamaran, with stops for swimming, local food, and unforgettable coastal scenery.
This catamaran tour from Olbia takes small groups of up to ten passengers through some of Sardinia's most celebrated marine landscapes, offering crystal-clear swimming stops, on-board dining, and the chance to encounter dolphins in their natural habitat.
Departing from the port of Olbia, the itinerary follows one of two routes depending on weather conditions and the skipper's assessment on the day. The Tavolara route leads guests past sculpted granite coastlines, white-sand coves including Dottore beach, Capo Coda Cavallo, and Capo Ceraso, as well as the scenic islands of Piana and Molara.
The alternative Cala Moresca route heads north toward the islet of Figarolo, where dolphins are frequently spotted, and continues past Capo Figari, the evocative Grotta della Madonnina, and the emerald-water islet of Mortorio. Both routes guarantee at least two swimming or snorkelling stops at sheltered coves.
On board the Pajot Maldives 32 catamaran Hakuna Matata, guests can relax on sunbathing nets, cool off under the shower, and enjoy an aperitif platter of local cold cuts, cheese, and bruschette followed by a pasta course or rice salad with local wine, beer, or soft drinks. Fruit is served before the return to port.

How the Day Unfolds
The catamaran sets off from Olbia harbour in the morning. The skipper briefs guests on the day's route based on wind and sea conditions.
The boat sails along a dramatic coastline of granite cliffs and sandy coves. Guests make the first stop for a swim in sheltered, clear water.
An aperitif platter of Sardinian cold cuts, cheese, bruschette, olives, and drinks is served on board while the catamaran continues toward the route's key landmarks.
A second cove anchorage allows further swimming before a sit-down lunch of pasta or rice salad with local wine, beer, or soft drinks.
Depending on the itinerary, guests pass Capo Figari and Grotta della Madonnina or the islands of Piana and Molara. Dolphins may be spotted near Figarolo.
Seasonal fruit is served as a snack on the homeward leg. The catamaran returns to Olbia port in the late afternoon.
