Tavolara Marine Reserve & Cala Moresca Boat Tour from Olbia
Two legendary coastlines, one unforgettable morning on the Sardinian sea
This boat tour from Olbia takes you to some of Sardinia's most spectacular coastal scenery, choosing the best route each day based on actual wind conditions so every passenger experiences the sea at its finest. Whether the itinerary leads north to Capo Figari and Cala Moresca or south into the Tavolara Marine Protected Area, the result is the same: crystalline waters, dramatic cliffs, and secluded natural pools.
A small-group format aboard the Selvaggia, a 10-metre Tecnoyacht Puma motorboat, keeps the experience personal and comfortable. The vessel is fitted with an awning, cushioned seating, a freshwater shower, and a boarding ladder, so moving between the boat and the water is effortless throughout the excursion.
The skipper doubles as a local guide, sharing knowledge about the geology, marine life, and history of the coastline while the boat moves between stops. A light aperitif served on board adds a convivial pause to what is already a richly varied half-day outing.

Itinerary Overview
Two possible routes operate depending on conditions. The steps below outline both options.
The tour begins at the Olbia embarkation point. The skipper briefs passengers on safety procedures and confirms the day's chosen route before casting off.
Heading north, the first anchorage is either Nodu Pianu bay or the Capo Ceraso cove heading south toward Tavolara. Both offer calm, protected water suitable for swimming.
The boat anchors at the natural pools of Terrata (northern route) or Cala Spalmatore on Tavolara (southern route). Passengers can snorkel, swim, or simply float in the shallows.
On the Tavolara route, the boat makes a panoramic circuit of the island's towering cliffs, passing the Orecchio di Ulisse sea cave. On the northern route, a circuit of Figarolo island reveals hidden bays and seabird colonies.
The skipper selects a sheltered bay for a relaxed pause. A light aperitif is served on board while passengers take in the surrounding scenery.
The boat returns to the departure point in Olbia, completing the half-day tour. Total time on the water is approximately four and a half hours.
