Itinerary
Depart Fes and travel south through Ifrane, the alpine-style town built during the French protectorate era, then continue into the Cedars Forest where Barbary Macaques roam freely. After a lunch stop in Midelt, descend through the palm-lined Ziz Valley before arriving at the Merzouga sand dunes for a camel trek at sunset and an overnight stay at a luxury desert camp with dinner and traditional Berber music.
Rise before dawn to watch the sunrise over the dunes, then ride camels back to the village for breakfast. The day continues with visits to the Rissani souk, the fossilized marble workshops of Erfoud, and the canyon of Todra Gorges, before reaching the Dades Valley for dinner and an overnight stay at a luxury hotel.
After breakfast, pass through the Rose Valley and the Skoura Palm Groves before visiting the film studios of Ouarzazate and the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. The final stretch crosses the High Atlas via the Tizi-N-Tichka pass with scenic stops along the way, arriving in Marrakech by evening.
