Aphrodisias, Laodicea & Pamukkale Tour
Two days through ancient cities and the legendary white terraces of western Anatolia.
This Aphrodisias Laodicea Pamukkale Tour brings together three of western Turkey's most significant sites in a single, well-paced two-day journey departing from Izmir. Travelers move from sculpted marble ruins to early Christian city remains and finally to the thermal terraces that have drawn visitors for thousands of years.
Aphrodisias stands apart from other ancient sites in Turkey for the exceptional preservation of its sculptural works and monumental architecture. The site's museum holds some of the finest Greek and Roman-era statuary found anywhere in the Mediterranean world, making it a genuine highlight for those interested in classical art and urban planning.
Laodicea offers a different perspective, as one of the Seven Churches of Revelation mentioned in the New Testament. Its recently restored stadium, two theaters, and colonnaded streets provide a vivid sense of a prosperous ancient trading city. The thermal landscape of Pamukkale, with Hierapolis rising above the white calcium terraces, closes the journey on a visually striking note.
